Our Story

A community gathered around a single, steady light

Sac Green Light Sanctuary is a private religious community in Sacramento devoted to prayer, healing, creativity, and fellowship.

Our Mission

To shelter the soul and awaken the spirit

We exist to create a sanctuary where every person can expand their mind and elevate their spirit — through prayer, sacred arts, music, education, healing, and service. We meet people exactly where they are.

Our Vision

A Sacramento where no one is spiritually alone

We envision a warm, creative, deeply human community — a modern monastery where the doors are always open, the tea is always warm, and the light is always on.

What We Hold Sacred

Our Core Values

Reverence

We treat one another, the earth, and every sacred practice with deep respect and care.

Belonging

All are welcome. We build a community where no one stands outside the circle.

Creativity

We believe making art is a form of prayer and a path to the divine.

Service

Faith lived out through compassion, generosity, and care for our neighbors.

Our History

From a small circle to a sanctuary

What began as a handful of friends gathering to pray, make music, and create together has grown into a thriving spiritual community. We started with one lantern lit on a borrowed table.

Today, Sac Green Light Sanctuary welcomes seekers from across Sacramento — artists and elders, the curious and the devoted — into a shared life of reverence and joy.

Meet Our Reverend

Our Reverend founded Sac Green Light Sanctuary with a simple conviction: that every soul deserves a place to be seen, heard, and held. Ordained after years of study in contemplative traditions, healing arts, and community ministry, our Reverend brings warmth, wisdom, and an open heart to all who enter.

The Reverend is available to pray with you, to walk alongside you through seasons of healing and integration, or simply to share a quiet conversation over tea. This is a ministry of presence — gentle, unhurried, and profoundly human.

“The light was never ours to keep. We only tend it, and pass it on.”
